hello

I had a visit a couple of weeks ago from my exwife and my kids.
It seems so surreal when you look at
picture and realize that you have grown up.
I was still under the impression i was cool, but alas
i am not. Then as you look at your kids and it sinks in
i have become my parents and i'm old enough to be a
GRANDPARENT,nooooo agh.
When did my body get old,I still can't remember.
Maybe a margirita on my front porch will jog my memory
if not the drink was good.
Just another young gun in an old farts body.

This is a broach that I made for my daughters mother.
I made it from a piece broken of plate.
The back is made from a piece of brass that I brushed
and added three rhinestones to add some color.
The side of the plate has been painted with
gold leaf.I hope you enjoy.

To all who follow my blog,
I'm sorry I do not get around to writing to often, but work
keeps me busy.I hope you like some of my paintings .I will add more
as time goes on .I can't produce them as fast as some people can ,but
like so many other crafts art takes time to create.

Thank You for visiting,
Martin

This one of my better paintings.
Seems like for every one I paint the
three before it weren't that good,go figure.

This was taken soon after
Hurricane Katrina.
I will admit that yes New Orleans was
hit hard. What alot of people might not realize
is that alot of the fisherman along the gulf coast
were hit as well. Some still have not been able
to either rebuild or build new boats due to financial
reasons or insurance problems.
So please try to remember it was not just one city,
but the gulf coast fisherman that try to sell their shrimp,
red fish, grouper and so many other kinds of seafood all around
the US as well.

Some photos are harder than
others to take.

Tears are all I have.

Sorry I have not written in so long but work has been keeping me busy.
Well here is another one of my photos taken
about 8 years ago in Corrales,NM.
You might see a broken window, but what I see is a reflection
of someone dear to me.Let me explain.I saw a broken window
and I saw her in it.She is really beautiful and had a few
rough edges .Life was good for a while but time would catch up.
Just like the window someone broke her,but with time
the window was fixed but the pain and fear it caused was still there.
I still wonder about that window and hope one day the pain and the fear
will be gone.In the mean time I will always be just a phone call
and email away.

hello

Life is like this cage I found. It's a little worn and the edges are a little sharp, but you still can't help but see the beauty in and around it.
